Noodle is a lovable little panda who loves to do the very same things as our babies and toddlers- eat, sleep, cuddle, and go on adventures! In each of these short board books, we learn a little bit more about Noodle and babies get to touch something different on each page. The textures are interesting, the illustrations are super bright, and the words are very simple. Each page is filled with items to point to and talk about, something that is very important for babies and toddlers to do as they develop their literary skills.
We have read all 8 of the Noodle Loves series. I think they are the best touch and feel type board books I've seen so far. It is pretty obvious that most toddler board books do not have a lot of plot or storyline since they are only about 6 pages long. For this type of "touch and feel" book, I look at the quality, size and variety of textures as well as the durability of the board book itself.
My 1 1/2 year old has loved the textures in these books much more than DK Baby Touch and Feel. And while they are not as durable as the Usborne That's Not My series that have a glossy, thick cover, they are still fairly sturdy books and I like that these books have basic scenes on each page and have the same characters (usually Noodle, mommy, sometimes daddy). We bought all eight titles from Walmart online at a more competitive price than what I found on .
These books have vibrant illustrations and have a simple story line about Noodle the panda ("Noodle loves...Noodle loves" with a basic rhyme structure). The story is over quickly but keeps my son's attention.
I rate the 8 of the series in this order (the first five I think are best, the other three I don't think are worth buying)

Noodle Loves to Eat features decent-sized textures
a fabric bib (cover), a fabric loaf of bread, a smooth cheese wedge, textured fabric peas, vinyl fruit (shaped like raspberries), and a good sized mirror window
The best part in the mirror at the end. My son loves holding up the mirror to see his reflection. Each Noodle book has a "mirror" on the last page and this book has the largest mirror in the series.
We found this title at our local library and had to have it!
This is one of my 10month olds favorites. We must check this out from the library every other week - so when it's birthday gift time this series is always a go to for first birthday gifts. This adorable book is written in rhyme with a touch object on each page. My son asks for this book again and again and I never get tired of reading it.
My grand daughter at age 6 months on loved this book she is 17 months old and still enjoys all the Noodle books.
A nice addition to the Noodles Loves to Cuddle book for my now 9 month old son. I've been reading these books to him every morning since we was just weeks old and he never gets tired of it.
My daughter LOVES texture and these books are great for her. The textured areas are big enough to capture her attention and there's a nice variety of them.
My grandson Welles loves all his Noodle books. Simply the best!! Recommend each one in the series highly. Babies love them!
